树脂发光字是由外壳、填充原料、发光源三部分组成。其中外壳部分采用塑料（ABS）注塑成型或金属板材(铁皮、不锈钢、钛金等焊接成型；外壳内填充原料为经过改性的液态树脂浇铸成型；发光光源采用的是超高亮度半导体发光二极管（LED）。        树脂发光字外壳保证填充原料的浇铸及其固体形态，并对内部光线进行有效地反射，避免光能浪费；填充材料保证光线的穿透和均匀扩散；发光二极管（LED）及电路在字底部安装固定，二极管（LED）发光透过固化成型后的树脂产生透射、折射、反射，从而达到良好的扩散效果，使光线在树脂的穿透过程中保持亮度和均匀。该成品表面光滑，结构完整，浇铸成型发光面与外壳无拼接痕迹，发光面均匀发光，色彩鲜艳。 现在也可采用5050贴片高亮模块灯，稳定性好。
